FAT International Returns to Le Mans 30 Years After Our Iconic Victory
In 2024 we triumphantly returned to the world’s most prestigious race, marking 30 years since our unforgettable victory in 1994 and setting the stage for a FAT future at the highest level in motorsport.
After decades of pushing the boundaries our return to Le Mans was a monumental moment for us at FAT International. Partnered with Proton Competition we proudly showcased our name and logo on the Porsche 963 Hypercar #99 driven by an exceptional team comprised of Neel Jani, Harry Tincknell, and Julien Andlauer.
We came away with a win in the Privateer class despite adverse weather and technical challenges, a testament to the passionate spirit to drive forward for a better tomorrow. Driver Ticknell made the effort clear with acknowledgement for the team and a commitment to carry forward:
Ich bin stolz auf unser gesamtes Team, das uns trotz all der Probleme ins Ziel gebracht hat. Am Ende standen wir auf dem Podium, das war der Lohn für die enormen Anstrengungen bei diesem extremen Rennen. Wir nehmen viel Positives mit aus Le Mans und ich bin sicher, dass wir in São Paulo zurückschlagen werden.
Hypercar #99 featured a livery inspired by the legendary Porsche 962 from our win in 1994 with today's cutting-edge technology and a modern twist. The return to form was more than a nostalgic trip down memory lane—it was a bold assertion that we belong at the pinnacle of racing with a visual statement from the minimal white car in the pack.
Atmosphere from enthusiasts and industry was vibrant and a fitting welcome for the debut. Following our lead at Spa earlier in the season, the 24 Hours of Le Mans is the perfect stage demonstrating renewed drive and passion while celebrating heritage and setting new benchmarks for our future in the sport.
In honor of this momentous occasion we launched a special capsule collection that embodies quality and craftsmanship. Like all things FAT the pieces seamlessly blend racing heritage with modern design and offers our community a tangible piece of our journey to the top including t-shirts, racing jackets, hoodies, and a collaborative Artek Stool 60 drawing from the 963 livery.
It was a monumental race and return to form, a powerful statement of perseverance thirty years later. We extend our thanks to the team, drivers, engineers, and supporters who made this a special occasion. We're back to the pinnacle of racing and stronger than ever, ready to continue pushing the limits of motorsport for years to come.
Stay tuned for the next race!
